Being Bentoriffic: What my family eats for lunch

Anyone can do it.  No, really...as with anything else, know your audience.  It's not hard...I do it, and so can you.  Yes, you, too, can be Bentoriffic!  (That is a word, right?)

It started out innocently enough.  When Kid 1 (aka, Cupcake) started school, I would use a sandwich container and silicone cupcake molds to pack her lunch.  Then, this past year, I caught the bento-bug.

Cupcake and Sugardoodle have an assortment of bento boxes for their lunches.  I'm not all Death Star carving about it, because I know my audience.  They want it familiar, and I want them to eat it.  I don't use food picks, because I think that their teachers have enough to deal with at lunchtime without worrying about someone getting poked.  Also, less washing when they get home.

The kids are currently using Bentgo Kids (BGK), Yumboxes (YB, both the 6-compartment original, and the Panino), and Rubbermaid Lunchblox (RLB).  Hubby gets his lunches packed in Easy Lunch Boxes (ELB).  I don't worry too much about things leaking in his lunch, as his lunch bag allows for his to be packed flat.  His afternoon boost is usually packed in a two-compartment container that I picked up at my local Dollar Tree (DT).  The Bentgo Kids, Yumboxes, and Lunchblox are all leak-proof, which is perfect for the kids.  (I don't pack soup for them, as again, the last thing that their teachers need is to have to clean soup off of them...or their neighbors).

So, I started taking pictures of their lunches.  If you follow me on Instagram (aggiegurl99), you'll see them daily.  Here is week one.  (I'll get better on staging the pictures this coming week)
